How to join a Task Force

Please go through the list of objectives below and select up to three objectives to which you can contribute and/or which are of particular interest to you and your organization. Please also read the 2030 and 2050 targets carefully.

To join a particular Task Force, you must click on the "Join Task Force XY" button below each objective to display the appropriate registration form. Complete and click on submit to join.

You can join as Global Task Force Leader, Regional Task Force Representative, or Task Force Team Member. Please take a look at the different roles and decide which role in each choosen Task Force suits you best.


Global Task Force Leader: 

  • Organize a inter-regional consultative processes for a specific objective
  • Supervise activities, monitor progress and report to the Forum of Partners
  • Liaise with the Executive Secretariat and Scientific and Technical committee

 Regional Task Force Representatives:

  • Identify additional relevant partners in their region and encourage them to join the Initiative
  • Organize the regional consultative processes
  • Supervise activities, monitor progress and report to the regional meetings
  • Liaise with the Global Task Force Leader
  • Liaise with regional and national authorities to facilitate coordination of actions with defined development strategies and on-going programs

Task Force Team Member: 

  • Provide information on relevant on-going actions and projects
  • Contribute to the formulation of the implementation strategy 
  • Help to identify additional partners in their region
  • Outline actions and projects that contribute to the targets 
  • Actively contribute to the consultative processes

The Executive Secretariat will designate a moderator and assistants for each Task Force to support the Head and Regional Representatives. The Scientific and Technical Committee will appoint a Scientific Advisor for each Task Force.

Please note that only persons belonging to an organization that is a member or partner of the international Initiative "4 per 1000" can be appointed as Task Force leaders or regional Task Force representatives. If your organization is not a member or partner of "4 per 1000", you can only join a Task Force as a member.

The Executive Secretariat of "4 per 1000" will facilitate a consultative process for the final selection of the Leader and Regional Representatives and the establishment of the Task Force. In addition to organizational issues, a balanced representation of the various stakeholders will play an important role in the formation of the Task Forces.

The deadline for the initial registration is the 30th of September 2020. Task Forces will be created in October. Task Forces will remain open and other interested parties are free to join at any time.
